 B&B Skips Hire was set up 20 years ago by Stephen Lake with his wife Shirley and two sons Shaun and Nick. The enterprise is a firmly-run family affair, with invaluable support from their experienced staff - David, Steve and Barry. From his one man band enterprise operated from Ringsfield Hall Farm 20 years ago, Stephen initially had just 12 mini skips. Immediate growth meant taking on David Mean who has been with the company ever since. Both have seen the business grow to expand to a site on the Boast Industrial Estate, where they spent 10 years steadily growing. The number of skips increased to 450, of various sizes, and a waste recycling plant was established. The latest move to Anson Way, less than a mile away has finally been accomplished after much back breaking work by the family themselves. What is there now is a modern, fully fenced site with new buildings and weighbridge. Stephen still remembers the 960 cubic yards of concrete that the family laid themselves. It is these kinds of closely-knit family virtues that have helped the B&B Skips reputation to grow.
